Osobnosť pacienta ako determinant v procese rekonvalescencie po cievnej mozgovej príhode

V dôsledku cievnych chorôb mozgu evidujeme najčastejšiu hospitalizáciu dospelej populácie, najvyššiu mortalitu zo všetkých ochorení a incidencia ochorenia sa naďalej zvyšuje aj u ľudí mladšieho veku. Predkladaný výskumný projekt informuje o vzťahoch osobnosti a kvality života pacientov po cievnej mozgovej príhode, kde ukazovateľom rekonvalescencie je kvalita života pacienta. Mnohé výskumy poukazujú nato, že objektívne ukazovatele zdravotného stavu nie sú rozhodujúce pre úspešnosť rekonvalescencie, ale psychologické premenné, ktoré jednak súvisia s funkčným stavom pacienta ale takisto určujú spôsoby vyrovnávania sa s ochorením. Cieľom projektu je skúmanie vzťahu medzi osobnosťou a kvalitou života a následne skúmanie týchto vzťahov 72 hodín, 6 mesiacov a 1 rok od cievnej mozgovej príhody.

The personality of the patient as a determinant in the recovery after stroke

As a result of vascular diseases of the brain, we can prove the most common hospital care for adults who have also the highest mortality rate of all diseases and the disease incidence is on the increase even amongst younger people. The presented research project provides information of relationships of personality characteristics and quality of life of patients after stroke, where the indicator of recovery will be the quality of life of the patient. Recent studies have shown that objective health indicators are not critical to the successful recovery after stroke, but psychological variables are important because they relate to the patient's functional state and determine patient's ways of coping with the disease. The aim of the project is to investigate the relationship between personality and quality of life and then to investigate these relationships 72 hours, 6 months and 1 year after stroke.
