Aims and scope

Diskuze v psychologii (Discussions in psychology) journal is a peer-reviewed specialized periodical focused on psychology which is published biannually. The journal’s aim is to provide space for publishing articles based on research or practice. An emphasis is placed on a link between research and practice, which entails discussion and description of the applicability of the research results to practice, including research practice, i.e. with high-quality discussion on methodological limitations and recommendations for follow-up studies. The journal’s aim is also to connect the community of specialists in psychology. The editorial team also accepts articles dealing with research in progress (e.g. interim results). The journal also aspires to provide space to quality student research projects and articles by beginning research workers.

Diskuze v psychologii journal is an online open access publication and articles are used in compliance with Creative Commons License. Article publication is free of charge. Articles are accepted continuously, in the Czech, Slovak and English languages and are subject to review process under the editorial board’s supervision.

Peer review process

Each submission is firstly checked whether is in compliance with the requirements regarding the article formatting and whether it fits within the scope of the journal. Submission are then assigned to one or two peer-reviewers (external experts and/or editorial board members) and the review process is double-blind. The typical period allowed for reviews is 2 months.
