Critical thinking is considered a key skill of the 21st century. It is regarded as one of the main components of adaptation to everyday situations; however, its relationship with academic success remains unclear. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between two aspects of academic success (AS) (personal AS, achievement AS) and critical thinking dispositions (CT). Diskuze v psychologii 2024, 6(1):26-36 | DOI: 10.5507/dvp.2025.004
In this article, we present selected findings from a qualitative study focused on adolescents in children's homes and their perception of psychological and social support provided by their environment. Specifically, we examine caregivers, who were most frequently mentioned as providers of practical support, less often emotional support, and who overall emerged as key figures influencing the overall well-being of adolescents in this setting. We identify the traits and abilities of both favored and unfavored caregivers from the perspective of these adolescents. Additionally, we outline experts' views on the dynamics of the adolescent-caregiver relationship....

The analysis included 14 articles from three disinformation websites. The main discursive practises identified in the analysis were: the use of categorical statements, appeals to emotion, the use of statistical and scientific terminology and appeals to authority, conspiracy narratives and the idealisation of natural treatments. The findings contribute...
