The research sample consisted of 29 respondents with various types of neuromuscular diseases aged 22-65 years. Results showed that the highest average score was recorded in the area of social adaptability (55.76 points), while the lowest was in physical appearance (39.17 points). More than half of the respondents (51.72%) showed low scores in physical appearance and one-third (34.48%) in meaning and self-realization. The overall self-concept score (46.21 points) suggests a slightly below-average evaluation. The results emphasize the need for a holistic approach to supporting individuals with neuromuscular diseases, which would include not only medical care but also psychosocial support focused on positive body perception, self-acceptance, and finding meaning in life.
